Fabergé has released a limited edition egg objet inspired by Goldfinger (1964) as part of its ongoing collaboration with the James Bond franchise.

It follows the launch of the Fabergé x 007 egg safe locket with ruby heart surprise in October 2024.

The new piece is crafted from 18k yellow gold and takes its design cues from the Fort Knox gold depository, a key element of the Goldfinger film plot.

The front features a six-prong combination lock with “007” at the centre. Rotating the lock anticlockwise triggers two bolts, allowing the safe door to open – a mechanism Fabergé said took months to develop and marks a first for the company.

Inside, a stack of gold bars is set amid 140 brilliant-cut yellow diamonds. The gold bars reference the film’s title song lyric, “He loves only gold.” The egg is mounted on an 18k white gold stem with 16 round brilliant-cut white diamonds, set on a carved black nephrite jadeite base.

The objet joins the wider Goldfinger capsule collection, which includes the earlier egg locket, and complements other creations in the Fabergé x 007 range, such as those commemorating Octopussy (1983).

Designed by Fabergé head of design Liisa Tallgren and overseen by creative director Josina von dem Bussche-Kessell, the collection incorporates references to the James Bond film archive.

The Fabergé x 007 Goldfinger egg objet, limited to 50 editions, is available to pre-order.

Von dem Bussche-Kessell said: “We’re delighted to present these bold Fabergé x 007 James Bond Goldfinger editions, which introduce an entirely new opening mechanism – miniature versions of the vault in the Fort Knox scenes of the film. It’s an honour for Fabergé to be able to continue to pay tribute to this legendary film in these eternally beautifully crafted Fabergé pieces.”

Tallgren added: “The glamour and appreciation of beauty and culture is where the worlds of Fabergé and Bond meet, a perfect place to create a collection of very special pieces that honour both Fabergé’s heritage and Bond’s storytelling.”

The collection aims to capture the “fleeting beauty” of nature through pearls and gemstones.

Each piece reflects the “gentle” motion of petals gliding across a breeze, with shimmering stones such as morganite and diamonds.

The collection features a range of necklaces, earrings, rings, a bracelet, a brooch and a head ornament.

One necklace in the collection features Akoya cultured pearls, morganite, tourmaline and diamonds set in 18K white gold. The necklace comes with a pair of earrings crafted from white South Sea cultured pearls and diamonds, also set in 18K white gold.

A pair of rings are made with a natural conch pearl and diamonds in 18K white gold, and a white South Sea cultured pearl and diamonds in the same setting, respectively.

Another necklace includes Akoya cultured pearls, morganite, garnet, sapphire and diamonds in 18K white gold. Matching earrings are made from Akoya cultured pearls, sapphires and diamonds in the same metal.

The collection also includes a necklace and bracelet set in 18K pink gold, each combining Akoya cultured pearls and diamonds to convey a sense of movement and refinement.

Additionally, one of the necklaces is adorned with Akoya cultured pearls, tourmaline, and diamonds set in 18K white gold.

Its design “evokes the delicate motion of rose petals caught in flight, with carefully chosen colours and contours crafted to leave a striking visual impression”.

The collection also features a brooch capturing the moment when two roses shed their petals, rendered in natural conch and Akoya cultured pearls, with sapphire and diamonds set in 18K white gold.

Completing the ensemble is a head ornament that depicts a rose in full bloom, its design echoing the grace of petals dancing in the wind. It is embellished with Akoya cultured pearls, rubellite, and diamonds, all set in luminous 18K white gold.

Graff has launched a new high jewellery suite, titled ‘1963’, in tribute to the year the luxury jeweller was founded.

Unveiled during Paris Haute Couture Week, the collection draws inspiration from the cultural and aesthetic energy of the 1960s. It comprises a necklace, bracelet and earrings set with a total of 7,790 oval, baguette-cut and round diamonds, weighing more than 129 carats.

Each piece features a pattern of concentric ovals designed to evoke the era’s psychedelic art and fashion.

Baguette-cut diamonds line the edges of the white gold settings, while a discreet row of pavé emeralds, the house’s signature green, is concealed within the design.

Graff said the suite reflects both the company’s heritage and its pursuit of innovation and technical precision.

CEO Francois Graff said: “This is one of the most intricate, complex and technically challenging high jewellery suites we have ever created. While the design is inspired by the decade in which Graff was founded, each jewel also represents the journey and evolution of our brand, our expertise and our future potential. We pursue absolute beauty and perfection in everything we do, and ‘1963’ is the ultimate representation of those values.”

Tiffany and Co. has unveiled a new collaboration with contemporary artist Daniel Arsham, comprising a limited-edition bronze sculpture and a bespoke jewellery piece.

The Bronze Eroded Penny Vessel – a patinated bronze sculpture embedded with polished crystal – contains a reimagined version of the brand’s HardWear necklace. Only 39 of the handcrafted works have been produced, each made at Arsham Studio in New York.

The necklace, made from 18-carat white gold, is set with more than 1,000 diamonds and over 500 tsavorites. It draws from a 1971 design in Tiffany’s archive and reflects Arsham’s signature “future relic” concept.

The vessel takes inspiration from Arsham’s 2013 work Study of the Eroded Penny and Tiffany’s 1885 redesign of the Great Seal of the United States. The penny motif is described as a “symbol of luck and transformation, fusing historical references with modern craftsmanship”.

Each piece is delivered in a Tiffany Blue art-handling crate, accompanied by a matching blue box containing dual-branded white gloves.

Arsham said: “My work explores the idea of history as a living, evolving entity, and Tiffany and Co. shares that same reverence for craftsmanship and heritage.

“This collaboration has allowed me to push my ‘future relics’ concept even further, transforming an iconic symbol into something completely new. I’m incredibly grateful to Tiffany and Co. for embracing this vision.”

Bradley’s Jewellers York has unveiled new additions to its in-house designed and British-made York Rose collection.

Highlights include the York Rose Brontë ring, featuring a diamond-set Yorkshire Rose in full bloom in 18ct rose gold, 18ct yellow gold or platinum.

The name was purposefully chosen by Bradley’s Jewellers York owner, Kay Bradley, to celebrate the incredible achievements of Yorkshire’s most famed female writers, Charlotte, Anne and Emily Brontë.

The collection has also been updated with a new gentleman’s signet ring that is custom-engraved with a Yorkshire Rose and crafted in either yellow, white or rose gold.

The collection also includes the York Rose Tiara, set with more than 1,000 fancy-cut diamonds weighing upwards of 10 carats in recycled 9ct white gold.

The York Rose Tiara will soon form part of The Seasons, a unique series of four tiaras that celebrate Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter in Yorkshire.

The first to be launched represents the Summer, while a soon-to-be-revealed York Daffodil Tiara will pay homage to the optimism and renewal of the spring months.

A third piece, the Rainbow Hope Tiara, will recognise autumn as a time of harvest, abundance and accomplishment in vibrant coloured gemstones.

The York Rose collection was first unveiled in 2022 as a tribute to Kay Bradley’s personal and professional home.

Bradley said: “As a business, we pride ourselves on always reaching for the next jewellery milestone. Introducing a Yorkshire-inspired tiara seemed like the most sensational and opulent next step. These special items are often found in private collections as treasured heirlooms, so I wanted to create something similar not only for Bradley’s Jewellers York but for the whole of Yorkshire.

“I feel strongly that as an independent jeweller, we should always be surprising our customers with something new, different and inspiring. We’ve updated the York Rose collection with new pieces, but I don’t think any of our loyal collectors anticipated a tiara was in the works.”

It also highlighted the octagon’s broader symbolic associations with “infinity, rebirth and good fortune”.

According to the company, more than 1,000 variations were explored before finalising the design.

Swarovski said: “The designs aim to balance traditional fine jewellery aesthetics with modern versatility. The Octagon jewellery collection balances the timeless elegance of laboratory grown diamonds and precious metals with distinctive designs, and has universal appeal.”

British fine jeweller Robinson Pelham has launched its Mother of the Bride edit, curated by Vanessa Chilton, creative director of the Chelsea-based jeweller. The collection of signature pieces is designed to “elevate and express personal style” on the wedding day, and is arranged into earrings, necklaces and bracelets.

Robinson Pelham said the “versatile” pieces are designed to complement every part of the celebration, from the rehearsal dinner to the ceremony and the celebrations that follow.

It comes as mother of the brides are moving away from classic diamond studs, according to the jeweller, instead opting for contemporary designs, mixed metals, and subtler pieces.

The collection includes earrings that frame the face, necklaces that sit against silk or tailored cuts, and bracelets that introduce subtle texture and movement.

Robinson Pelham signature pieces such as the Daystar earrings in Rock Crystal and Diamond, available in both yellow and white gold, and the Tsar Star earrings both form part of the edit.

The jeweller’s Identity necklace, featuring interchangeable personalised bars and pavé hearts, is also included, as are its North Star and Atlas Torque necklaces which “bring a subtle yet unmistakable impact”.

Statement pieces such as Robinson Pelham’s River bracelet with diamond link, or the “lightweight and versatile” Atlas bracelets which can be stacked, also feature.

Chilton said: “The role of the mother of the bride has evolved; today it’s less about blending in and more about expressing personal style with quiet confidence. Our edit is aimed at women who understand the power of detail — jewellery that enhances, never overpowers, and that holds its relevance long after the confetti has settled.

“A wedding day is layered with meaning, and jewellery carries stories that reflect both personal history and future memories. This Mother of the Bride Edit recognises the women who have shaped the bride’s journey. These are jewels to wear with pride, to treasure beyond the ceremony and celebration, and to continue the story for years to come.”

Japanese jewellery maison Tasaki has announced the opening of its permanent counter at Selfridges’ Wonder Room in London.

This new permanent presence at Selfridges follows the success of Tasaki’s 70th Anniversary Floating Shell Exhibition pop-up, which was held at the department store from November 2024 to February 2025.

The Selfridges counter marks the brand’s second point of sale in the UK, following the opening of its first European flagship store on Bond Street, London, in March 2019.

The new location joins the maison’s network of over 100 global points of sale, the majority of which are based in Asia.

Tasaki will showcase the maison’s Akoya Pearl designs, featured across both high and fine jewellery collections including Balance, Danger and Chants along with creations from the maison’s Atelier High Jewellery collection, including the Cascade high jewellery parure, which features paraiba tourmaline set in white gold, and cascading waterfalls of Akoya Pearls all punctuated with diamonds.

The maison is the world’s principal producer of Akoya pearls and the only De Beers sight-holder in Japan.

Kimura-San, officer of head of EMEA and US and managing director of Tasaki UK and France, said: “We are delighted to establish a permanent presence at Selfridges with our Tasaki counter launch, following the strong reception to our pop-up last year. This marks a significant milestone in Tasaki’s journey in the UK, building on our New Bond Street debut in 2019 and further deepening our valued partnership with Selfridges.

“We are proud to share our heritage, signature craftsmanship, and bold yet refined designs with a wider audience in London – and to present the exceptional quality of our pearls and diamonds, which lie at the heart of Tasaki’s identity, in such a vibrant and international city.”
