Tiffany and Arsham unveils bronze vessel and HardWear necklace https://www.jewelleryfocus.co.uk/222183-tiffany-and-arsham-unveils-bronze-vessel-and-hardwear-necklace Tue, 17 Jun 2025 14:41:24 +0000 https://www.jewelleryfocus.co.uk/?p=222183 Tiffany and Co. has unveiled a new collaboration with contemporary artist Daniel Arsham, comprising a limited-edition bronze sculpture and a bespoke jewellery piece.

The Bronze Eroded Penny Vessel – a patinated bronze sculpture embedded with polished crystal – contains a reimagined version of the brand’s HardWear necklace. Only 39 of the handcrafted works have been produced, each made at Arsham Studio in New York.

The necklace, made from 18-carat white gold, is set with more than 1,000 diamonds and over 500 tsavorites. It draws from a 1971 design in Tiffany’s archive and reflects Arsham’s signature “future relic” concept.

The vessel takes inspiration from Arsham’s 2013 work Study of the Eroded Penny and Tiffany’s 1885 redesign of the Great Seal of the United States. The penny motif is described as a “symbol of luck and transformation, fusing historical references with modern craftsmanship”.

Each piece is delivered in a Tiffany Blue art-handling crate, accompanied by a matching blue box containing dual-branded white gloves.

Arsham said: “My work explores the idea of history as a living, evolving entity, and Tiffany and Co. shares that same reverence for craftsmanship and heritage.

“This collaboration has allowed me to push my ‘future relics’ concept even further, transforming an iconic symbol into something completely new. I’m incredibly grateful to Tiffany and Co. for embracing this vision.”

Gemfields partners with PureJewels on emerald-themed collection https://www.jewelleryfocus.co.uk/220502-gemfields-partners-with-purejewels-on-emerald-themed-collection Mon, 28 Apr 2025 15:42:18 +0000 https://www.jewelleryfocus.co.uk/?p=220502 Gemfields has announced that it has partnered with PureJewels on the emerald-themed Zariya collection to combine emeralds from Gemfields’ Kagem mine in Zambia with designs inspired by the fresh buds of May.

Taking its name from the Hindi word ‘Zariya’, meaning a medium, source, or pathway, the collection was inspired by the concept of introspection.

The designs are handcrafted in London using traditional techniques such as wire-drawing, forging and stressing gold, using the brand’s signature 22k Sunrise Gold, whose regal golden glow pairs perfectly with the majestic green of Zambian emeralds.

Highlights from the Zariya collection include a Shooting Star Emerald Cuff and Dropper Earrings with a twisted design exuding timeless charm.

There is also the Solo Emerald Pendant and Horizon Emerald Necklace with an intricate twist-wire design, and two show-stopping rings.

The PureJewels and Gemfields Zariya collection ranges from $1,210 (£903) to $6,300 (£4,705) and is available on PureJewels website.

Jayant Raniga, PureJewels CEO, said: “As we mark 75 years, PureJewels remains dedicated to preserving heritage crafts. Partnering with Gemfields for this milestone allows us to reinforce our commitment to a responsible supply chain and to showcase the real impact of responsible sourcing – a value deeply embedded in our brand.”

Emily Dungey, Gemfields’ marketing and communications director, added: “Thought to symbolise hope, growth and the natural world, emeralds couldn’t be more appropriate for a collection dedicated to introspection and balance.

“The calming green hue of Zambian emeralds sings in PureJewels’ clever settings, flowing light through the gemstone facets so that they dance when worn. The PureJewels x Gemfields Zariya collection lends itself equally to stacking for a modern look, or a single, elegant statement with a pleasing pop of green.”

This expansion marks a significant milestone in the brand’s journey to bring its authentic designs to more people globally. Currently, Kismet by Milka has 17 stores globally and over 100 points of sale.

Located at 110 New Bond Street, London, the new store spans 140m² across two floors, featuring fine jewellery and two luxury piercing studios.

The piercing studio is the first and only piercing studio driven by experienced and piercers on New Bond Street. Kismet By Milka is vetted and certified by the APP (American Professional Piercers Association), whilst being one of the association’s corporate sponsors, ensuring the “highest health and safety standards for the luxury jewellery brand within this venture”.

Additionally, at the new store, Shoppers will be able to explore the brand’s latest collections with jewellery styling experts in an intimate setting.

Designer Milka Karaağaçlı İnce founded the brand in 2009, and pioneered a new segment in the global jewellery industry with her “sense of styling and design”.

All designs are developed and produced in-house at the Istanbul Design House, where a team of 70 skilled craftsmen manage the full creation process from concept to final piece.

Over the past decade, Kismet by Milka has grown from an independent jeweller to an international brand, worn by celebrities including Madonna, Naomi Watts, Britney Spears, Anne Hathaway, and famous British stars such as Emilia Clarke, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Natalie Dormer and Emily Blunt.

Ince said: “Fifteen years ago, this was my biggest dream. I started by designing my own jewelry, bringing them to London, sharing them with friends and hoping they’d see what I saw. That was the beginning of Kismet by Milka.

“What began as a dream is now a reality. And not just anywhere, on Bond Street, a place that symbolises prestige, heritage, artistry, and fearless visionaries. To stand here today, in the city where I took my first steps as a designer, isn’t just an achievement. It’s proof of what happens when challengers dare to believe.”

She added: “Kismet by Milka has always been about breaking boundaries. Boundaries of design, craftsmanship, and creativity. From those first handcrafted designs to a brand recognized around the world, our journey has been shaped by passion and the belief that jewelry is more than adornment. It’s identity, strength, and self-expression.

“Now, as we open our doors in London, we’re not just celebrating a store. We’re celebrating the spirit of those who dream boldly, create fearlessly, and challenge the ordinary. Because this isn’t just a milestone. It’s the beginning of something even bigger.”
